I wintered over at the Pole station 84-85. Was reading Bill Spindler's site as I did every few years and found that he now lives close to me and so I gave him a call. I didn't even know of OAEA's existence until it was mentioned. Check your mail, a new lifetime membership is in the mail!

With US Navy/Air Force's rich history in Christchurch, believe it would be fitting to send condolence wreath (when memorial services are held). Willing to donate $20 towards the effort.
