The OAEA By-Laws, Article XII (Elections), Section V provides that:  “In the event that there is only one nominee for any office, a ballot vote by OAEA members is not required and the office(s) may instead be filled by a majority vote of the voting members of the Board of Directors who are not currently nominees for that office.”

This election cycle, only 1 nominee for President and 1 nominee for Vice President were received.  Therefore, the Board of Directors, by majority vote during the week of 19-23 February 2024, voted for:  President Nominee Wayne White, and Vice President Nominee Dr. Dewey Painter.

Accordingly, with this ballot, the OAEA membership will only be voting for two nominees from the 3 candidates for the OAEA Board of Directors.  The official 2024 Election results for all offices will be reported after the election of the Directors is completed.  Installation of the new officers will be part of the OAEA 2024 reunion business agenda.
