Anti-SPAM

Anti-SPAM

Old Antarctic Explorers Association (OAEA) website https://oaea.net has a zero-tolerance SPAM policy!

What is SPAM?

In the context of electronic messaging, SPAM refers to unsolicited, bulk or indiscriminate messages, typically sent for a commercial purpose.

Receipt of unwanted messages from https://oaea.net

In the unlikely event that you receive any message from https://oaea.net or sent using https://oaea.net’s business email services used for informational purposes to the membership that may be considered to be SPAM, please contact https://oaea.net at admin@oaea.net or oaea.site.webmaster@gmail.com so the matter can be investigated.  All OAEA membership business emails that are generated from our services meet the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.

Automated SPAM filtering

Our website’s administrative messaging systems automatically scan all incoming email messages and filter out messages that appear to be SPAM.

Problems with SPAM filtering

No message filtering system is 100% accurate, and from time to time legitimate messages will be filtered-out by https://oaea.net’s systems.

If you believe this has happened to a message you have sent because you have not received a timely response, please advise the message recipient via our site contact form.

You can reduce the risk of a message being caught by the SPAM filters by sending the message in plain text (i.e. no HTML), removing any attachments, and ensuring that your messages are scanned for malware before dispatch.

Changes to this anti-SPAM policy

https://oaea.net may amend this anti-SPAM policy at any time by publishing a new version on this website.
